Geez, I totally forgot to mention the half-marathon that we completed Sunday. My friend Christian from the UK was visiting and he joined me and my wife for the run. I wasn't thrilled with my completion time, but I did cross the finish line running and I enjoyed the experience overall. I ran 13.1 miles in 2h38m. My goal for the next half-marathon I'll enrol in next spring is to shave that time down to 2h25m. I think that's achievable with better training than I did for this race.

My wife did wonderfully, coming in at 1h56m. Christian did even better, coming in at 1h50m. I'll post some pictures later.

I'm impressed, "poor" time or not! Half marathons are definitely not short. ;)

You give the rest of us coach potatoes poor consciences (or is that "conscientia"? ;) )

The introductory letter you sent in for the competition was clear, simple and charming, I think. A good intro letter. Thumbs up for the competition. That prize is definitely a useful thing!
