Via monotony. Come one, come all, disenfranchised Americans. You too can get hitched to a Canadian and find your salvation north of the 49th parallel.

The page link itself is funny, too. To those not in the know, it's a longstanding Canadian dialect joke that we pronounce the word "about" as "aboot." So the phrase "out and about" sounds like "oot and aboot."

2.) ginmar is an American soldier working in Iraq. Her blog is replete with cutting commentary on her country's presence there, and today, she posted a funny bit about desensitizing Bush voters to the word "lesbian." Her piece is here.
