Grandma's obituary

I keep reading and re-reading this notice, and it keeps slowly sinking in. I think that part of the reason we go to funerals is because it gives us a sense of closure on the person's life; not having attended this funeral, it seems more like an intellectual abstraction that she has died. I regret not having gone out there, now. I hope Granddad's doing okay. I'll give him a call this weekend to chat.

We have so few socially-acceptable ways to mourn, that I treasure funerals. I'm sorry to hear about your grandma.
