from Nisargadatta

The "here" is everywhere, and the "now" always. Go beyond the "I-am-body" idea, and you will find that space and time are in you and not you in space and time. Once you have understood this, the main obstacle to realization is removed.

is it realisation of something we need to know?

Heh. I suppose not, if you're not one of those people who feels the need to realize God, or ultimate reality, or whatever. Certainly it's not necessary to realize anything of any significance to live a normal or very peaceful life. But in my case personally, self-realization is a precursor to my peace of mind in everyday life. And contemplating the meaning of this quote is an invaluable aid to being at peace with whatever's happening in my life at any given time.

Is that what you meant by your question?

i try and ask questions before figuring out what i mean by them ;)

but yea, that totally makes sense.
