On the buzz surrounding SpiralFrog, Universal Music's "free" music downloading service

Universal Music Group's recent news that it's releasing a big part of their catalogue for free download through a new service called SpiralFrog has been getting lukewarm reviews, as I think it should. The idea of having to listen to a 90-second ad in order to download a copy-protected WMA file that won't play on a iPod, that can't be burned to CD, and that expires in 6 months is freakin' stupid, to put it mildly. Mark Glaser over at the PBS MediaShift blog sums it up pretty well right here.

Yeah man, you nailed it on that J5 album. It got old pretty quick. I plan to pick up that Roots album ASAP. You're not the first who has said it sounds good. And surprisingly uncommercial for a Def Jam production. Word is Jay-Z told ?uestlove "You ain't radio, so don't try and make me no radio album. Just do your own shit and I'll be happy." Props to him if that's true.

J's page....

I want to make sure (as does she) that NN's name isn't linked to her site by search engines or web crawlers...but it's pretty easy to figure out.

- g-oo gle "girls" (without quotes don't you know) and then type next to that first word (again without quotes) "wild" I'm sure the first hit will PRODUCE the clue to person you seek. You can do further searches from there.
